aLike Expense Manager — Terms of Use

These terms apply specifically to aLike Expense Manager. They are in addition to the Eight Elephants Group group-level terms.

License

aLike Expense Manager is free to download and use. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install the app on any compatible Android device you personally own or control.

Pro upgrade

aLike Expense Manager offers an optional Pro upgrade that unlocks additional features (such as multiple accounts beyond the free tier, additional budgets and recurring rules, and advanced reports).

• Payment processing. All Pro purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment card or billing details.
• Refunds. Refunds for Pro purchases are handled by Google Play under their refund policy. For a refund request, contact Google Play first; if you have trouble, email us and we will try to help.
• Pro entitlement. Your Pro status is tied to your Google account on Google Play and is validated against Google Play on your device.
• Family sharing. If supported by Google Play, Pro may be shared with your Google Play family group at no extra cost.

Your data is yours

We do not store, see, or access any data you create in the app. Your transactions live on your device. If you enable Google Drive backup, the backup files live in your own Google Drive (in a private “AppData” folder that only this app can access).

You are responsible for keeping your own backups. The app includes a backup feature for this purpose. We strongly recommend turning on automatic backup.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Use the app for any illegal purpose.
• Attempt to bypass the Pro upgrade gates.

No warranty / no liability

aLike Expense Manager is provided “as is”. We do everything we can to make it reliable, but we do not guarantee accuracy of any calculation, report, or projection. The app is a tool for personal tracking; it is not a substitute for professional financial, tax, or accounting advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eight Elephants Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data. Keep your own backups.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be flagged in release notes and in-app notices.

Termination

You may stop using aLike Expense Manager at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data; if you had Google Drive backup enabled, your backup file remains in your own Drive AppData folder until you delete it from your Google account.

We may discontinue the app, or make changes that materially alter its functionality, at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice through the app or this site. Discontinuation does not affect your right to delete your locally stored data.
